Together for All – Against Hunger (Juntos Por Todos – Contra a Fome) Project delivers Halal beef to 600 families in the southern zone of Sao Paulo’s capital.

Last Saturday (26), the Federation of Muslim Associations in Brazil – FAMBRAS distributed one and a half tons of Halal beef to 600 families in the Jabaquara neighborhood, located in the southern zone of Sao Paulo, SP. The project was in partnership with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment and was part of the “Together for All – Against Hunger Program (Juntos Por Todos – Contra a Fome)”.

The distribution of the meat took place at 10 a.m. on the sports court of Sao Benedito Parish. The boxes of Minerva Foods products were distributed to those who are in a situation of social vulnerability. FAMBRAS President, Dr. Mohamed Zoghbi, and Vice President, Ali Zoghbi, participated in the event, which lasted until 1 p.m.

Parte superior do formulárioExpressing gratitude for the received protein, Teresinha Rosa da Silva thanked FAMBRAS for the gesture. “We are all dealing with difficult moments in our lives, and this donation came at a good time for me and for all the people in the community. When I prepare this meat, I am sure that more quality and health will be on my family’s table,” said the housewife assisted by the project.

“I have been following the day-to-day life of this community for a long time. I know that today’s action will provide an even more complete meal for each of us who received this food. I am grateful because they are remembering us, the families who live in this region,” said the announcer Jhone Santos, who also received the donation and thanked the organizing entities.

The social gesture was also carried out a few days earlier at the Vacation Colony of the Chemical Workers Union, in collaboration with the Federal Government, housing an Afghan community in the coastal municipality of Praia Grande – SP, located an hour from the capital. On that occasion, 40 families were served with the delivery of Halal products.

Members of the Federation’s corporate and the FAMBRAS Halal certifier also organized and assisted in both deliveries.
