Today I say goodbye to a great friend. More than that, to a brother in this journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mohamed Hegazi Ahmed Taha dedicated more than four decades of his life to the development of Halal in Brazil. He was one of the pioneers of this work alongside my father, Hajj Hussein El Zoghbi, and took part in building a history that transformed our country into a global reference in Halal food production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But his importance goes far beyond everything he accomplished professionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hegazi was a man of integrity, discipline, and principle, deeply committed to his faith. He was the kind of person who taught through example. Throughout the years we spent together, especially during the period when we worked together in Videira, Santa Catarina, we learned many things side by side. We shared challenges, responsibilities, and also moments of friendship that I will cherish forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Perdig\u00e3o, now MBRF, witnessed his dedication firsthand. There were hundreds of international missions, countless working hours, and a quiet yet decisive contribution to consolidating the Brazilian Halal system. Few people know the full extent of the legacy he leaves behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For me, however, what remains above all is the memory of a loyal friend, a companion in countless conversations, and a generous person who always placed duty above personal interests and never lost his humility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His story is intertwined with the history of Grupo FAMBRAS and of Brazilian Halal itself. His contribution will remain alive in everything we have built and will continue to build.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I pray to Allah to receive him with mercy and grant him the highest place in His presence. May He comfort his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him and who, like me, deeply mourn his passing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
