Grupo FAMBRAS Meets with IsDBI to Discuss New Partnerships

Grupo FAMBRAS, represented by Ahmed Khalaf, Director of International Programs and Strategic Relations, held an institutional meeting with Dr. Sami Al-Suwailem, Director General of the Islamic Development Bank Institute (IsDBI), to discuss cooperation opportunities aimed at strengthening the Islamic economy and Islamic finance in Brazil. The meeting reinforced the institutions’ commitment to expanding collaboration through training initiatives, knowledge development, and institutional capacity building in the country.

Yahya Aleemur Rehman, Associate Manager at IsDB, also participated in the meeting. During the discussion, the participants explored joint initiatives that could contribute to professional training, the dissemination of specialized knowledge, and the advancement of Islamic finance in Brazil.

Among the topics discussed was the translation of Essentials of Islamic Finance, considered one of the key references on the fundamentals of Islamic finance. The initiative aims to expand access to the material in Portuguese, strengthening academic production, technical qualifications, and the development of this sector in Brazil.
