G13 FAMBRAS Project Offers Free Jiu-Jitsu Classes and Social Inclusion for Children and Teenagers
Last Saturday (August 1), Colégio 24 de Março hosted the launch of the Jiu-Jitsu in Schools – G13 FAMBRAS project, an initiative of the Federation of Muslim Associations of Brazil (FAMBRAS), the Sociedade Beneficente Muçulmana de Santo Amaro (SOBEM), Colégio 24 de Março, and G13 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
The project will offer free jiu-jitsu classes to children and teenagers experiencing social vulnerability, using sport as a tool for transformation while promoting values such as discipline, respect, citizenship, inclusion, and self-esteem.
The launch ceremony brought together representatives of the partner institutions, featured a technical jiu-jitsu demonstration, and concluded with a breakfast gathering.
During the event, SOBEM President and Director of Colégio 24 de Março, Ibrahim Nimri, emphasized the importance of expanding access to sports for children who often would not otherwise have the means to attend a gym or academy.
