FAMBRAS Participates in Dubai Humanitarian Global Members Meeting and Has Project Featured in Annual Report
The Federation of Muslim Associations of Brazil (FAMBRAS) participated in the Global Members Meeting (GMM) of Dubai Humanitarian, an annual gathering that brings together its international network of partners and organizations. The Federation was represented by its Director of International Programs and Strategic Relations, Ahmed Khalaf.
Dubai Humanitarian holds the Global Members Meeting annually, bringing together more than 80 participants, including members of the organization, representatives of government entities, the private sector, and international organizations. The meeting aims to reflect on achievements over the previous year, discuss evolving humanitarian challenges, and establish strategic priorities for the future.
During the GMM, a comprehensive annual review was presented, highlighting the organization’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the resilience of humanitarian supply chains and improve global response capabilities. This was followed by a high-level panel entitled “Dubai Humanitarian: Between Today and Tomorrow,” which addressed topics such as operational resilience, lessons learned, and the organization’s upcoming milestones. Participants also discussed the importance of cross-sector collaboration in addressing complex global crises and the need to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of humanitarian assistance.
The highlight of the event was the Dubai Humanitarian Awards Ceremony, which recognized outstanding projects in the categories of “Highest-Impact Partnership,” “Best SDG-Focused Project,” “Best Innovation,” and “Most Engaging Campaign.”
The Federation was given a dedicated section in the Dubai Humanitarian Annual Report featuring the Together for All project, an initiative that provides medical and dental assistance while also promoting cultural, well-being, and social inclusion activities. The project is a Dubai Humanitarian initiative implemented by FAMBRAS in the city of São Paulo.
FAMBRAS’s participation in the GMM reinforces its commitment to international cooperation and the development of humanitarian initiatives with social impact. The inclusion of the Together for All project in the Dubai Humanitarian Annual Report highlights the relevance of the Federation’s initiatives and strengthens its engagement with major global humanitarian organizations.
